When month close matters
Month close matters when the agency relies on financial reports for owners, management, or accountants. The goal is to prevent changes to a reviewed period without a clear reason.
If the agency does not use the full ledger, this article can still be used as an operational checklist before sending owner statements.
Monthly review checklist
Review recorded payments, open invoices, incomplete expenses, owner balances, transfers, and manual entries. Then compare reports with the month expectations.

What to do when there is a difference
Find the last transaction that affected the difference. Do not start by editing the report. Differences often come from partial payments, unlinked expenses, wrong owner assignment, or incorrect dates.
Product status
Some ledger or month-close pages may be In Progress depending on agency settings. If a page or report is not visible, do not treat it as available to every customer until Product confirms it.
